1. Professional Competence


The docent possesses long-time skills in synthetic, analytical and physical chemistry of nucleoside and nucleic acid chemistry. This comprises particularly the synthesis of nucleic acids modified either in their heterocyclic or in their backbone moieties. Moreover, the docent has experiences in the immobilization of nucleosides to polymeric carriers and in the development of affinity resins for the biospecific chromatography of nucleoside -converting enzymes. He is also trained in the NMR-, UV-, and CD-spectroscopic analyses of biomolecules.
